Facilities

Bommelwereld is a true world full of adventure, with height differences and bridges. Fortunately, everything has been taken care of:

  • All paths are wide and wheelchair accessible.
  • Each restroom block has accessible toilets.
  • Next to every staircase, there is a ramp.

Tickets for visitors with disabilities

Visitors with disabilities can, in certain cases, purchase a ticket at a reduced rate of €20. These tickets are only available at the park’s entrance. To ensure your safety and a pleasant experience we ask you to fill in the facility card that suits you best at the entrance of Bommelwereld.

With the use of these facility cards, we can work together to ensure a carefree day at Bommelwereld.

Facility Card

To serve you as best as possible, we offer two types of facility cards:
The Support Facility Card and the Accompanying Facilities Card.

Support Facility Card

This card is intended for visitors who can board independently and do not require assistance during the ride.

Upon presenting this request and proof of your disability, you will receive a card that can be shown to any (ride) staff member.

  • You pay the regular rate, as you can experience all attractions.
  • You will be able to access our attractions via the exit.
  • You may receive (limited) assistance when boarding and exiting.
  • You confirm that, in the event of an evacuation, you are able to walk a few meters independently.
Accompanying Facility Card

This card is intended for visitors who cannot board independently or who require assistance due to physical or mental reasons.

Upon presenting this request and proof of your disability, you will receive a card to show to any (ride) staff member.

  • You indicate that you cannot leave the attraction independently in the event of an evacuation.
  • You understand that, for safety reasons, it may not be possible to visit all attractions.
  • Upon requesting this card along with valid proof of your disability, you will receive a ticket at a reduced rate at the service desk in the reception hall of Bommelwereld.

Alternative Access

With a signed facility card, the visitor with a disability may enter the attraction together with a companion and up to two additional guests via the exit. Please note:

  • Each facility card entitles you to one (1) reserved gondola.
  • For most attractions, there is a limit on the number of reserved gondolas per ride.

Random Check

To prevent misuse, Bommelwereld reserves the right to request proof of disability on a random basis or if there is any doubt.
Examples of valid documents include:

  • Disability Card
  • European Disability Card
  • Car Pass
  • Comanion Pass
  • Disabled Parking Card
  • Doctor’s Certificate
  • Statement from the CIZ (Centre for Care Assessment)

Companions

A companion:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be physically able to assist the person with a disability when boarding and exiting attractions.
  • Is responsible for correctly conveying information about accessibility, safety, and evacuation to the person they are accompanying.

Please note: our staff are not allowed to physically assist visitors when boarding or exiting attractions.

Parking

For visitors with disabilities, paid parking spaces are reserved at the front of the parking lot (close to the entrance). These are available to holders of a valid disabled parking permit.

Wheelchairs

The entire park is wheelchair accessible. Even our rollercoaster, the BulderBaan, can be accessed via a special lift. Ask about this at the service desk or from a ride staff member at the Daverend Draken Spektakel (circus tent).

Guide dogs

Guide dogs are welcome in the park, provided that:

  • They wear an official dog vest or harness.
  • The owner carries a card showing that the dog is trained by a recognized training center.

We kindly request that you inform us at least one week in advance of the date of your visit.

Accessibility of Attractions

Most attractions are accessible for visitors with disabilities. However, for practical and safety reasons, there are some exceptions. Please note:

  • Every visitor must be able to sit safely with a closed harness or seatbelt and hold on during the ride.
  • For some attractions, visitors must be able to evacuate independently in case of an emergency.
  • Some attractions do not offer the ability to seat two or more adults next to one another needed when an adults needs to be accompanied.

Groups

Groups are very welcome at Bommelwereld!
For groups with special needs, we ask that you contact us at least 2 weeks in advance so we can properly prepare your visit.

Important

A signed facilitiy card does not guarantee access to every attraction. If safety is at risk, a ride staff member may still deny access. Even if access is granted, participation in the ride remains at your own risk. The facilities card only provides access via the exit and ensures additional assistance when boarding and exiting.
